WELCOME TO EAGLES

OUR SPRING TERM 2024 TOPIC is........
READING REFLECTIONS
IDEAS TO THINK ABOUT WHEN YOU'RE READING......
Compare and contrast this BOOK with another BOOK or FILM.
Be specific– what are the similarities and differences etc.
Draw the main character from a book you have recently read. Show them as a baby, middle aged and as an older person.
For example if you drew Harry Potter as a baby, he might be casting spells on his mum to feed him lots of yummy food.
Write a character guide to the characters you think are important in your book. Choose quotes about the specific characters to include in your guide.
Choose your favourite language and sentence structures that you think make the book come to life-what techniques does the author use? Choose examples and produce a poster to show what you have chosen.
Draw up a family tree of the characters in your book.
Imagine your main characters can be granted 2 wishes half way through your story-what do you think they would wish for and why?
Would you like to live in your book’s world? Yes or No? But you have to say WHY and use evidence from your text.
Choose three important events from the book-why are they important to the story?
Using speech bubbles, draw a conversation between two characters in your story.
Make a newspaper front page for an important event from your book.
Make a map of your book’s world.
Write a diary entry for one of your characters.....remember to use I!
Choose a character from your book, imagine you are them and write a story from their point of view.
